A group of 25 doctors and nurses from a hospital based in Taichung, Taiwan of China on August 28-29 provided free examinations and medicines for disadvantaged people living in the southern province of Dong Nai.

More than 1,500 residents from provincial districts of Dinh Quan, Xuan Loc and Thong Nhat registered for medical check-ups in this charitable programme held for the second time by the Vedan Vietnam Company at a cost of over 1.5 billion VND.

In addition to offering health advice for the poor, the medical staff spent time sharing their expertise with local physicians.-VNA
