The French Embassy in Hanoi on May 14 introduced the film, “A Thirsty World”, made by Yann Arthus-Bertrand.

Funded by the Agency of French Development (AFD), “A Thirsty World”, was shown on at the 6th World Water Forum. It will be screened in more than 60 countries worldwide.

The film takes the audience to this fascinating and mysterious resource, water, thanks to spectacular scenes including remote areas. It shows some of the most beautiful scenery on Earth: lakes, rivers and marshes created by water.

It also encourages people to get involved and innovate, in order to bring water to where it is missing, to use it more intelligently, to purify it or even stop pollution of this resource.

Following the film, there will be a seminar on water and environmental sanitation with the participation of leaders of the Ministry for Natural Resources and Environment, Vietnam Water Supply and Sewerage Association, and a representative of the Institute of Research and Development (IRD) in Vietnam.-VNA
