French Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault is set to meet with Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra during his official visit to Thailand, beginning on Feb.5.

According to Director-General of the Department of Information and Spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry Manasvi Srisodapol, the French PM arrived on February 4 in his private jet. He said the talks between the PMs will include a wide range of mutual cooperation, such as aviation, high-speed train project, energy, banking, and economic partnership.

He further revealed that trade between Thailand and France in 2012 was worth 4 billion USD, while French foreign direct investment (FDI) in Thailand reached of 370 million USD.

Accompanying Jean-Marc Ayrault will be lead 36 French leading entrepreneurs to discuss trade and investment opportunities with the Thai PM. -VNA
