The German Reconstruction Bank (KfW) signed a loan worth 7.3 million USD to the Vietnam-Germany Hospital , one of the largest hospitals in the capital city of Hanoi on December 11.

Speaking at the ceremony, Hospital Director Nguyen Tien Quyet said his hospital and the German side have cooperated closely over the past years and the funding will help the hospital carry out a project to strengthen its capacity by securing good medical equipment and training staff.

The Official Development Assistance (ODA) loan is expected to last for fifteen years.

At present, the hospital hosts 600-700 patients a day./.
