The German Government will provide assistance worth 1.4 million Euros (1.86 million USD) to help restore the damages of floods which have been hitting the southern region since September this year, announced the Hanoi-based German Embassy on Nov. 28.

Around 400,000 Euros (600,000 USD) will be spent on relief projects conducted by the Vietnam Red Cross, focusing on food and seeds supply and recovering submerged agricultural land.

The remainder of the fund will be used to develop activities with Vietnam, such as projects to help mitigate the aftermath of floods in the coming time and upgrade infrastructure damaged by floods./.
