German jazz quartet Max.Bab will perform in Vietnam this month as part of their Southeast Asian tour to eight major cities in the region.
German jazz quartet Max.Bab will perform in Vietnam this month aspart of their Southeast Asian tour to eight major cities in the region.

In Vietnam , the internationally acclaimed jazzband from Munich will delight audiences at the Hanoi GoetheInstitute on September 17 and the HCM City Conservatory of Music a daylater.

The quartet consists of saxophonist Max VonMosch, pianist Benedikt Jahnel, bassist Henning Sieverts and drummerAndreas Haberl.

The band have performed in more than400 concerts around the world and released six albums, of which thelatest is Inner Orbit.

The German Jazz band brokeonto the jazz scene with a bang in 1999, winning, among others, thefirst prize of the German Jugend Jazzt contest and the InternationalJazz Competition in Usti Nad Labem in the Czech Republic .

Their unique style and distinctive sound attracted the critics, whiletheir melodic and enthralling compositions captured even audiences notclosely acquainted to jazz.

The quartet will perform in Vietnam after an appearance in Bangkok on September 15.

Following Vietnam , the band will head to Myanmar , Singapore ,Malaysia and Indonesia . It will wrap up the tour with two concertnights in Jakarta and Bandung .
