The Record Painting about Environment Drawing Festival to be held on Nov. 29 by the Go Green Club as a chance for the city’s youth to get involved in environmental protection activities.

The activity is part of the Go Green programme launched and jointly organised by Toyota Motorbike Vietnam, the Environment General Department and the Ministry of Education and Training.
The festival intends to raise public awareness about protecting the Vietnamese environment to help especially young people develop an overall view about environmental pollution and prompt behavioural change to make a greener country.

Inspired by the idea of students and teachers from the Hanoi College of Industrial Fine Arts, the painting in the form of the letter U will measure 112m long and 1.5m high to win the Vietnam Guinness title for the largest painting about the environment. The title used to belong to a 100m long and 1.4 m high painting in Nha Trang.

Festival organisers hope that the programme will attract over 400 volunteers from 20 environment clubs, universities and colleges in Hanoi.-Enditem
