Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan visited and presented gifts to families of those who rendered services during the war at their homes in the northern province of Hung Yen on July 16.
The visit was one of the activities arranged to mark the 66th Day of War Invalids and Martyrs, which falls on July 27.
Talking with the families in Quang Chau and Hong Nam communes in Hung Yen city and Tan Hung commune in Tien Lu district, Vice President Doan encouraged them to set an example in following the Party and State’s policies, thus contributing to developing the homeland.
During the visit, Doan presented 30 gifts to the families and also offered incence to martyrs in these communes.
She hailed the positive changes in the province and the efforts made by local authorities to care for these families. She called for the continued support of the families of martyrs and war invalids, who sacrificed their lives to protect the nation.-VNA
