Leaders from China, Cuba, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and Russia have congratulated Vietnam on the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) on February 3.

In its congratulatory message, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) expressed its belief that under the leadership of the CPV led by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Vietnam will successfully realise its renovation cause and welcome the 12 th National Party Congress.

The CPC has always held the China – Vietnam relationship in high esteem and considers it a common precious asset of the two Parties, countries and peoples, it said.

It pledged to push the bilateral friendship forward, under the motto “friendly neighbours, comprehensive cooperation, long-term stability and future visions” and the spirit of “good neighbours, good friends, good comrades and good partners”.

First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, President of the Council of State and President of the Council of Ministers Raul Castro Ruz also conveyed the warmest congratulations to leaders, Party members and the people of Vietnam.

He said he looks forward to collaboration to boost socialism, build the Party, and foster fraternal ties between the two Parties, governments and peoples.

First Secretary of the Workers’ Party of the DPRK Kim Jong-un confidently stated that the friendship and cooperation between the two Parties and peoples, fostered by generations of leaders, will work progressively for the victory of socialism.

President of the United Russia Party D.A. Medvedev, who is also Prime Minister, said the CPV has been a consistent leadership force in the Vietnamese society.

He said he believes broader coordination between the United Russia Party and the CPV will surely further solidify the Russia – Vietnam comprehensive strategic partnership.-VNA
