A charity golf tournament teed off in the Russian capital of Moscow on September 27 to raise fund for poor Vietnamese child heart patients.

The tournament, held by the VietGolf Moscow Association, was in response to the “Operation Healthy Heart” campaign which is a partnership between the Vietnam Television (VTV), the East Meets West Foundation (EMW) and the Vietnam Military Telecommunications group (Viettel)

Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Bui Dinh Dinh, VietGolf Moscow Association’s members and overseas Vietnamese businessmen in Russia attended the event.

A 6,000-USD sum was collected from the daylong tournament to support the campaign.

Addressing the tournament’s closing ceremony, Ambassador Dinh said the event is a good opportunity for Vietnamese expatriates in Russia to express their kindness to Vietnamese children suffering from congenital heart defects.

According to him, the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Ufa city, Bashkiria , has recently donated 13,000 USD to the “Operation Healthy Heart” campaign./.
