A good leadership team is the most important criteria to attract talents, said Navigos Search, a leading executive recruitment firm in Vietnam, on April 7.
It was one of the conclusions of the “Employer Branding” survey conducted by Navigos Search from Jan. 24 to March 15, 2011 amongst over 4,800 senior-level people who are working in both local-invested companies and multi-national corporations.
Furthermore, a good working environment, supports for employees’ training and development and a good salary, benefits and bonuses system were also important criteria, said the survey.
Seventy-six percent of surveyed people considered having a good relationship team as the top criteria that the most attractive employer should have.
Managing Director of Navigos Search Nguyen Thi Van Anh said “ In a dynamic and competitive market like Vietnam, the battle for talents has been there for years and is getting stronger over time.”
“This survey’s result is the witness for the importance of leadership team in attracting and retaining talents,” she added.
The survey also revealed that local employees had earlier viewed multinational companies in Vietnam as employers of choice as they offered better environment, better pay and better career prospects than domestic companies. But now only 14.3 percent of surveyed people chose multinational companies as one of the most important criteria that the most attractive employer brand should have.
There is a shift in candidates’ attitude as domestic companies nowadays also pay lots of attention to building their reputation and employment branding to attract talents, said Van Anh.
In addition, many local senior candidates hit the ceiling at multinational corporations and want to shift and contribute to domestic companies, she added.
