Government convenes law building session

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has called for more efforts to handle alllegal documents in 2014 while chairing a cabinet meeting on lawbuilding work in Hanoi on December 25.

He requiredministries and agencies to promptly send their proposals relating to the2015 law and ordinance building programme in January, which will bediscussed at a regular cabinet meeting early next year.

Atthe session, Minister of Justice Ha Hung Cuong highlighted great effortsmade by ministries and ministerial-level agencies in the implementationof the law and ordinance building programme in 2013.

TheGovernment gave opinions on 27 draft laws and ordinances and ministriesand ministerial-level agencies jointly revised ten draft laws which weremulled over by the National Assembly and the NA Standing Committee in2012.

According to the minister, a total of 36 draft lawsand ordinances will be submitted to the legislature and the committee in2014.

He suggested ministries and ministerial-levelagencies to pay more attention to human resources and the implementationof the law and ordinance building programme.

The ministeralso proposed the Government convene at least two thematic sessions in2014 to deliberate draft laws and ordinances.-VNA
