Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung made the commitment on November 19 while receiving Baden-Wurttemerg’s Governor Stefan Mappus, who is leading a business delegation to visit Vietnam .

The government leader said Baden-Wurttemerg is one of the fastest growing states in Germany and it holds strengths in terms of industry, education, training, science and technology, fields where Vietnam needs cooperative ties.

Having thanked Baden-Wurttemerg for its participation in the Vietnam-Germany University project, PM Dung urged the state to continue funding the construction of schools and granting scholarships to Vietnamese students to study in the state.

The PM also requested the state government create better conditions for Overseas Vietnamese to enjoy stable residence and smooth integration into the community.

He also noted with pleasure that friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two nations are growing positively in all spheres, both at the national and local levels.

Mappus said businesses from Baden-Wurttemerg state want to step up cooperation with Vietnamese partners, thereby strengthening and developing friendly relations between the two countries as well as between the German state and Vietnamese provinces.

Also on Nov. 19, PM Dung hosted a reception for the outgoing Bulgarian Ambassador to Vietnam , Georghi Vasilev, during which he spoke highly of the diplomat’s contributions to the enhancement of traditional cooperation and friendship between Vietnam and Bulgaria .

Vietnam desires to join efforts with Bulgaria to further promote bilateral cooperation in all fields such as the economy, trade, investment, education and culture, the PM said.

Vasilev thanked the PM and the Vietnamese Government for their support during his term of office and congratulated Vietnam on the achievements it has recorded in recent years.

The ambassador also highly valued the fine development of bilateral relations, noting that the two sides are speeding up the implementation of previously signed agreements./.
