Hanoi (VNA) – President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Tran Thanh Man has extended his greetings to Muslim imams and followers nationwide on the occasion of Eid al-Adha Festival - one of the two most important festivals in the Muslim calendar.
In his letter sent to the Muslim community, Man said that the community had actively participated in patriotic emulation movements launched by the Front at all levels, and responded to charitable activities and those to prevent crimes, protect the environment and adapt to climate change, thus helping strengthen the great national unity bloc.
He appreciated the efforts and contributions by representative and management boards of cathedrals as well as the entire Muslim community.
The VFF leader wished the Muslim community welcome a new year with many blessings from Allah, and maintain close unity and support to each other to build a better life.
This year, the holiday, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, or Greater Eid, falls on August 21-25.-VNA
