Quang Ninh (VNA) – Leaders of Mong Cai city in the northern border province of Quang Ninh and the Ministry of Health on October 22 received 800,000 doses of Vero Cell vaccine, an ECMO machine and many medical equipment and supplies donated by the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China.

The handover of the vaccine and medical equipment took place on Bac Luan II Bridge at Mong Cai (Vietnam) – Dongxing (China) international border gate.

The vaccine and medical equipment and supplies, worth 62.55 million CNY (some 9.7 million USD) in total, will be allocated to the provinces of Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Cao Bang and Ha Giang which share the borderline and close cooperative ties with Guangxi.

Since the pandemic broke out, Quang Ninh province and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region have donated medical supplies to and supported each other in the fight against COVID-19./.
