Local filmmakers and producers can send their entries to the Cinema Department at 147 Hoang Hoa Tham Street in Hanoi ’s Ba Dinh District by September 15. Movies can be from many different genres, including feature films, videos, documentaries, scientific films and animation. All films must be approved to be publicized by the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism, and must not violate copyrights and has not participated in any national television festival.
A variety of activities including seminars, movie screenings and exchanges between producers and audience will also be held during the festival, co-organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism and the provincial People’s Committee.
Held every two years, the event has become an opportunity to boost exchanges between local filmmakers and promote local cinematography, as well as honor outstanding filmmakers and encourage new talents.-VNA
