The exhibition displays 156 paintings in oil, lacquer and mixedmaterials as well as sculptures, presenting natural landscapes andportraits of daily life in the northern part of the country, especiallyHanoi .
Artist Nguyen Thi My said she used oil andother materials to express her favourite subjects, including Hanoi 'slandscapes, fish and still life.
The 43-year-old artist's work Buoi Chieu (Evening) depicts the corner of a quiet street in the capital.
My has several solo and group exhibitions in the country to her credit.
The exhibition also features oil and lacquer paintings by otherartists, including Nguyen Thi Lan Huong, Nguyen Thanh Cong, Nguyen XuanLan, Nguyen Van Ha, Tan Dinh Truong, Vu Xuan Hien, and Pham Chinh Trung.
The exhibition will remain open until November 7 at themuseum, which is located at 97A Pho Duc Chinh street in district 1./.
