Ha Tinh busts large drug trafficking ring

Police in the central province of Ha Tinh, on October 25, said they have captured two men for trafficking 30 heroin bricks and 6,000 methamphetamine pills.

Ha Tinh (VNA) – Police in the central provinceof Ha Tinh, on October 25, said they have captured two men for trafficking 30heroin bricks and 6,000 methamphetamine pills.

In the evening of October 24, the force stopped a suspiciouscar travelling on National Highway 8A. However, the driver speeded up in orderto escape and only stopped after several crashes along the way.

Police officers then had to open fire to arrest two suspects– Ha Van Sinh from the central province of Thanh Hoa and Giang Seo Chinh from thenorthern mountainous province of Lao Cai, both born in 1994. 

The two admitted they were transporting the drugs from HaTinh’s Huong Son district to Vinh city in the neighbouring province of Nghe An.

The case is under further investigation./.
