Hai Duong, Rok’s Suwon city explore deeper cooperation

Hai Duong (VNA) – Authorities of northern HaiDuong province hosted a local reception on February 26 for a delegation fromthe Republic of Korea (RoK)’s Suwon city.

Vice Chairman of the provincialPeople’s Committee Nguyen Minh Hung highlighted the existing strong economicpartnership between the two localities, noting that Hai Duong currently hosts126 investment projects from the RoK, with a total registered capital of 1.4billion USD. This makes the RoK the leading source of foreign investment interms of project number and the third in capital value. These investments,primarily in electronics, electrical appliances, molds, logistics servicesand apparel, have created over 70,000 jobs in Hai Duong.

Beyondeconomic ties, Hung underlined their fruitful cooperation in recent years, spanning variousareas such as friendly visits, culture,sports, tourism, education, sustainable development, and locality-to-locality cooperation.

Additionally,Hai Duong leaders proposed several avenues for further cooperation, includinginviting Suwon city's businesses to invest in the province, establishing ahigh-quality international hospital leveraging Hai Duong's strategic locationin the Red River Delta, supporting the training of skilled human resources, andnurturing table tennis and archery talents.

They also suggested Suwon city invite its art troupes to perform at the ConSon-Kiep Bac Spring Festival to promote Korean culture to local people andtourists.

In response, Vice Mayor of Suwon City Hwang InGuk expressed his commitment to deepening cooperation between the two sidesacross multiple sectors. He pledged to discuss with Suwon's top leaders anddepartments to devise concrete plans for partnership with the Vietnameseprovince.

Leaders of both sides signed a Memorandum ofUnderstanding on local cooperation for the 2024-2026 period. This MoUsignifies their commitment to creating opportunities for youth and citizenexchange, promoting mutual understanding through cultural and sportingactivities, and exploring potential collaboration in various fields such aseducation, trade and sustainable development.

Hai Duong andSuwon established their friendly and cooperative relationship in July 2004./.

This milestone on November 8 came 11 months after the signing of an international franchise agreement between Three O’Clock (a brand under the Teatime limited company) and its exclusive master franchise partner for the Indian subcontinent FranGlobal. Vietjet reports strong growth in Q3, announces 20% stock dividend

In Q3, Vietjet's air transport revenue reached 16.728 trillion VND, with a pre-tax profit of 393 billion VND. Fitch Ratings affirms Northern Power Corporation at ‘BB+’ with stable outlook

The rating reflects EVNNPC’s standalone credit profile of ‘BB+’, which is on par with both parent company EVN and Vietnam’s sovereign rating of ‘BB+/Stable’.
