The northern province of Hai Duong on July 10 granted investment licences to four foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with a combined capital of 40.8 million USD.

Of the four, three are from the Republic of Korea with a total investment capital of 25.8 million USD, and the last, worth 15 million USD, from the Republic of Seychelles.

In the time ahead, Hai Duong will continue boosting investment promotion and strive to attract multinational corporations.

To improve its investment climate, the province will focus on easing difficulties for foreign investors, especially those related to administrative formalities.

In the first half of 2014, it lured a total investment of 390 million USD, up 3.9 percent year-on-year.

Currently, it counts 271 FDI projects invested by businesses from 23 countries and territories around the world, with a combined registered capital of over 6.2 billion USD.-VNA
