Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - The Medical Office for Hajj Affairs of Thailand is ready to provide medical services to Thai pilgrims during the Hajj season.

The Head of the Medical Office for Hajj Affairs of Thailand, Zulkifli Yusoh, said on July 30 that Thai medical units are ready to provide medical services to Thai pilgrims both in Medina and Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

The medical services are available at the Rehab al Marwa Hotel in Mecca and the Manazil Al Fakhama Hotel in Medina. The services for Thai pilgrims are provided daily from 8am to 10pm Emergency medical services are also available for the pilgrims around the clock free of charge.

For critically ill patients, they will be rapidly picked up for urgent medical care.

The Ministry of Public Health has dispatched 32 medical staff members to take care of the pilgrims throughout the Hajj period, to deliver patients to hospitals in Saudi Arabia, to follow up on their health conditions, and to visit and take care of those who are critically ill or require continual follow-up.

Many Thai pilgrims have received continuous medical services. Most of them have respiratory symptoms and muscle diseases.-NTT/VNA
