Hanoi’s consumer price index (CPI) in July rose by 0.18 percent over the previous month, posting a year-on-year increase of 6.39 percent, according to the municipal Statistics Office.
This was driven by increases in the groups of beverages and tobacco with 0.55 percent; housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials, 0.53 percent; and transport, 0.51 percent.
The prices of garment and footwear up 0.37 percent, while foodstuffs and restaurant services, household utensils and equipment, medicine and health services, education and entertainment and tourism services shared the same trend.-VNA
