Hanoi hosts first international film festival

Vietnam’s first international film festival has opened in Hanoi.
The 3D animated film, “Arthur and the Two Worlds War” by French directorLuc Bensson will open Vietnam's first international film festival inHanoi on October 17.

The festival will screen 67 films from 23 countries and territories.

Host Vietnam will enter Trung Uy (Lieutenant), by director Ha Sonand Long Thanh Cam Gia Ca (A Song about a Musician in Thang LongCitadel) by director Dao Ba Son, along with films from Japan , China ,Singapore , the Philippines , Indonesia , Malaysia and Hong Kongto compete for the prize of best feature film.

Vietnam sees the festival as an excellent opportunity to developcultural exchanges and boost cooperation between regional andinternational film makers./.

Vietnamese sports delegation leaves for ASIAD 20 in Japan

The Vietnamese delegation comprises 496 members, including athletes, coaches, experts, officials, doctors and medical staff. The teams will depart in several groups depending on their competition schedules, with the largest group expected to leave on September 16. The squad has set a target of winning at least four gold medals at ASIAD 20.
