Six inspection teams have been set up to check collective kitchens in Hanoi during the Action Month for Food Safety and Hygiene from April 15 until next month.

In addition to the reinforced inspections of collective kitchens in industrial parks, universities and colleges, the city will also ask enterprises to obey food safety and hygiene regulations.

Around 2,000-2,500 people get food poisoning in collective kitchens every year, according to the Health Ministry.-VNA
