The COVID-19 epidemic has put many workers in Hanoi in a difficult situation. In particular, the poor people in the fishing village along the Red River who normally have difficulties are now more and more deprived of food sources to serve their daily lives.

On September 16th, 20 inflatable boats belonging to the PVC’s Rapid Response Inflatable Team departed from Khuyen Luong Wharf (Tran Phu Ward, Hoang Mai District, Hanoi) and delivered 150 gifts to poor households living in this village.

This is a practical activity of the Hanoi Youth Union in coordination with the Pickup Vietnam Club (PVC Club) with the support of the Waterway Police Squadron and local authorities.

The gift sets include necessities such as rice, cooking oil, fish sauce, soup powder, seasoning powder... with a total value of nearly 100 million VND. This is the heart, companionship and sharing of the all units to the people here with the desire of “One piece of food while hungry equals a big box of food while full” during difficult times due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic./.
