Hanoi offers Tet gifts to social beneficiaries
Hanoi decided to spend 218 billion VND (about 10.4 million USD) in
aiding local beneficiaries of social welfare on the occasion of the
coming Lunar New Year of the Horse, according to the municipal People’s
Committee.

Vietnamese heroic mothers, heroes of labour and of people’s armed forces, war invalids and great revolutionary contributors will receive gifts worth 500,000 VND each; children of Agent Orange/dioxin-exposed soldiers and martyrs’ families will get 300,000-VND gifts.
Each Poor household and retired cadre will be presented with 300,000 VND and 200,000 VND respectively.
Municipal delegates will also make their visits to the Association of Victims of Agent Orange, the Former Volunteer Youth’s Association and sponsored social centres during Tet season.-VNA
