Hanoi (VNA) - All seven students of Hanoi taking part in the Pangea Math World (PMW) 2023 in Berlin, Germany, have won medals, including five golds and two silvers.
The gold medalists went to Tran The Phuc and Nguyen Tuan Minh of Hoang Hoa Tham Secondary School, as well as Nguyen Thai Duong, Luong Minh Nam, and Le Thanh Hai of Giang Vo Secondary School.
The silver medals were awarded to Nguyen Duc Than of Giang Vo Secondary School and Nguyen Mai Trang of Thang Long Secondary School.
Pangea Math World is an entertaining and challenging competition held for primary, secondary, and high school students.
With the motto "Mathematics connects", Pangea Math World brings together students from different continents with different social and educational backgrounds, who are interested in mathematics and have a talent for the subject. In addition, it helps to motivate them and share their experiences and enjoyment with others.
Founded in 2007, PMW has attracted the participation of more than three million students from different countries across the world. This year’s competition was held in Berlin from May 5-8./.
Hanoi works to improve computer using skills for students
The Hanoi Department of Education and Training on April 13 had a meeting with the Irish Embassy in Vietnam and the Global Management Organisation of the International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL), the world's leading computer skills certification, to seek measures to improve computer skills for students in the capital city.
