Hanoi suspends outdoor sports for fear of Covid-19
Hanoi authorities suspended outdoor sport activities and physical exercise on July 8 until further notice due to the complex developments of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The move was aimed to tighten preventive measures against the COVID-19 after the city saw a new spike in COVID-19 cases.
Leaders of local departments, agencies and district-level People’s Committees are tasked to request Hanoians to go out only for essential purposes, and rigorously observe preventive rules set by the Government and city.
Hanoi has reported 276 infections since the fourth coronavirus wave hit the country on April 27.
It detected two new clusters in the suburban districts of Dong Anh and My Duc three days ago, with the number of cases totaling 18 so far./.
