On July 1st, trains of the Nhon - Hanoi Train Station metro line started their first running test.

The train route is 8,5 km long, connecting Nhon station with S8 station in Cau Giay district.

According to the Metropolitan Railway Management Board, the Nhon - Hanoi Train Station metro project has now successfully transported 6/10 trains to the Nhon station.

Here, those trains are paired, calibrated, and subjected to static and dynamic tests before being officially put into operation at the end of 2021.

According to the Metropolitan Railway Management Board, all trains will be tested along the route, under different operating modes. For each operating speed range, there will be specific tests for every train and other infrastructure.

All functions of each train as well as the accuracy of the navigation devices, the transceiver system, the stability of the power supply system, the continuity, and the accuracy of the transmission system along the route, all will be checked.

The Nhon - Hanoi Train Station metro line is 12.5 km long, including 8.5 km of overhead railway and 4 km of underground railway, passing through districts of Bac Tu Liem, Nam Tu Liem, Cau Giay, Ba Dinh, Dong Da, and Hoan Kiem.

Started in September 2010, this project is expected to be able to operate the overhead section by the end of 2021 and the underground section by the end of 2022./.
