According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in Hanoi, as of 12 am on May 6, the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases 2 in Kim Chung commune (Dong Anh district) has recorded 42 cases that were positive with SARS-CoV-2 virus.

The National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control has quarantined the whole hospital for 14 days, with more than 400 employees in it.

This afternoon, the Ministry of National Defense and the Hanoi People's Committee assign multiple units to disinfect the hospital.

The Hanoi Capital High Command, in collaboration with the Chemical Force and the Military Institute of Environmental Chemistry, will disinfect the hospital.

The task force includes 70 officers and soldiers, with 15 special vehicles and specialized tools. They all use the best protective equipment in accordance with epidemic prevention and control procedures.

The area for disinfection includes the entire hospital campus and the traffic system surrounding the hospital. The total disinfection area is 150,000 m2. The task force will use Chloramine B disinfectant solution for the disinfection task.

All vehicles doing the disinfecting task will enter and leave the hospital from the main gate, forming a closed loop. Before leaving, all vehicles and personnel will be disinfected to ensure the safety of the disinfecting force at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases 2./.
