The Hanoi Fund for Children (HFC) raised nearly 5 billion VND on April 6 on its launch of the campaign “ Hanoi -For Children’s Hearts 2011”, tailored to help children with heart diseases.
Of the sum, Samaritan’s Purse contributed over 4 billion VND in kind, Prudential Insurance Company, 200 million VND in kind, and Coup de Pouce Vietnam, over 307 million VND in cash.
This year, HFC has set to raise a total of 13 billion VND to serve the provision of medical check-up for school children and support disadvantaged ones, especially those needy for heart and eye surgery.
Last year, enthusiastic assistance from many organisations, individuals and hospitals allowed HFC to provide free medical check-up and surgery for over 86 children living with heart diseases in difficult circumstances, according to Le Thanh Vinh, the fund’s director./.
