The Hanoi-based CAMA collective are set to head south this weekend bringing international talents to rock audiences in HCM City.

The first southern excursion by the north’s favourite promoters promises two nights of frenetic musical performances on Dec. 11-12, with Chinese rockers P.K. 14 and Berlin-based electro sensation DJ Jonty Skrufff set to hit audiences with their cutting-edge brands of punk rock and wild electro.

One year after rocking Hanoi audiences with CAMA at the 2008 Heineken Green Planet party, the electro-tech DJ Skrufff returns to Vietnam to make his debut in HCM City together with HCM City ’s DJ Micmac and the CAMA sound System on Dec. 11.

Dec. 12’s show will feature the Chinese band P.K.14, acclaimed by Time magazine in July 2008 as one the top five bands to watch in Asia, P.K.14 are the undisputed leaders of China ’s new ware, the beating heart of a new generation of rock revolutionaries.

Two Vietnamese bands Bad Neighbour and the Offensive will also share the stage with the Chinese band.

Being an audience favourite in HCM City for over four years, Bad Neighbour have morphed from Latin rock band to well-oiled punk machine for the Hey Ho Let’s Go punk festivals held in the city. Led by Argentinean singer and guitarist Claudio Duek, the eight-member band delivers a high intensity set of punk rock favourites guaranteed to make audiences go wild.

Founded in 2001, the Hanoi-based Offensive features vocalist Paul Gilchrest, along with Dave Payne on guitar, Ha Dinh Huy on drums, and Steve Christensen on bass. The band has captured the spirit of the early punk rock days, making it impossible show without the ears ringing and soaked in sweat.

All the weekends performances will take place at the Cage, 3A Ton Duc Thang Street , district 1, HCM City./.
