After nearly a year of closure to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, on March 18, Hoan Kiem Walking Street street officially reopened to the city's residents and tourists.

From 19:00, the number of people coming to the walking street was quite high. Most people were excited for they could enjoy the bustling atmosphere again with multiple colorful art and cultural activities.

Most people wore masks when coming to the walking street. The local force did patrol regularly to ensure public order as well as remind people to wear masks and keep their distance from each other.

To develop tourism under the motto of "safe adaptation, flexibility, and effective control of the COVID-19 pandemic", the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District has implemented disease prevention plans at various levels and strictly controlled people coming to the walking street. This is to prevent the COVID-19 disease from spreading. The local government also asked people to obey the regulations on disease prevention and control and strictly followed the 5K measure of the Ministry of Health./.
