Poland flag carrier, LOT Polish Airlines, on August 18 announced that it will open the Hanoi-Warsaw air route in mid-November this year.

As of November 15, flights from Hanoi will take off at 00.10 and arrive in Warsaw at 6.05 (local time) every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Meanwhile, flights which depart from Warsaw at 22.40 (local time) will arrive in Hanoi on 15.00 every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

Chief representative of LOT Polish Airlines in Vietnam Krzysztof Kolodziej said Warsaw is an ideal stop-over for many flights from Hanoi to the European countries and vice versa.

Two-way airfare is from 380 USD, excluding value added tax and additional charges, which is said a half as compared to other airlines.

Established in 1929, LOT Polish Airlines is one of the oldest airlines in the world and is the member of the global aviation group, Star Alliance.

The airline owns a fleet of 55 planes that provides services to 60 places in Europe, the Middle East and North America .

The airline will have an additional eight Boeing 787 Dreamliners in 2011./.
