HCM City athletes get free medical examinations

Sixty athletes from HCM City received free medical examinations from Doctor Jee Lim Tan of the Singapore Parkway Health Group at HCM City's Hoa Lu Sports Centre on Saturday.

The exams werepart of a co-operation agreement signed between the city and theSingapore Health Group in 2006 for annual sports exams.

In recent years, Vietnamese footballers Phan Van Tai Em, Nguyen VietThang and Nguyen Minh Phuong received successful knee operations underthe agreement.

In 2007, Vietnam Sports Hospital,located in the National Sports Complex campus, officially opened with100 beds./.

ASEAN city leaders explore Hanoi’s heritage sites

At the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, delegates visited the Doan Mon Gate and learnt about the formation and development of the ancient capital through different historical periods at display spaces. The festival featured more than 20 booths offering traditional Vietnamese dishes, including "pho" and spring rolls, alongside activities promoting Ao Dai (Vietnamese traditonal long dress). One of the highlights was the presentation of complimentary Ao Dai to Czech residents and international visitors.
