Twenty-eight young poets present their latest works at the Ho Chi Minh City Literature and Arts Association in District 3 in the night of March 4 as part of National Poetry Day held on the 15th day of the first lunar month.

Their performance, titled Unification Spring-The City Thinking of the Country's Seas and Islands is the theme for 2015, the 40th anniversary of National Reunification on April 30.

Highlighted works include Viet O Truong Sa (Writing in Truong Sa) by Hue Trieu and Bien, Em va Toi (Sea, You and Me) by Thanh Binh Nguyen.

Poetry clubs from local universities and cultural houses will introduce their members while amateur poets will read their works after sharing and discussing their problems.

As usual, new poetry collections will also be introduced.

Highlighted books include a collection of 85 poems for children written by famous poets like Pham Ho, Tran Dang Khoa and Vo Quang.

Published by the printing house Kim Dong, the book will be available in bookstores this weekend.

The show starts at 8pm with a special performance by the HCM City Traditional Arts Troupe.-VNA
