HCM City congratulates Lao Party on 60th anniversary

Thuong congratulated the Lao people on their great achievements under the leadership of the LPRP over the past six decades.

He also expressed his delight at the sustainably growing friendship and faithful relationship between the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the LPRP, the two States and the two peoples.

On that basis, the relations between HCM City and localities in Laos have continually strengthened and developed, Thuong added.

Receiving the HCM City delegation, Consul General Southideth Phommalat thanked the CPV, the Vietnamese State, and people in general and HCM City in particular for their warm sentiments and support for the LPRP over the past sixty years.

Vietnam has been actively involved in human resource training for Laos, and many Vietnamese enterprises are operating in Laos, contributing substantially to the host nation’s development, the diplomat added.

The consul general confirmed the relationship between the two countries is solid and expressed his confidence that future generations will build and deepen the relationship between Vietnam and Laos as well as between Lao localities and HCM City in particular.

Politburo member and Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc sent a basket of flowers to the Lao Embassy in Vietnam in Hanoi on March 22 to share the join over the anniversary.

Leaders of many Party agencies, ministries, organizations and provinces and cities also visited the Lao Embassy and Consulate General to congratulate the LPRP on its important milestone.-VNA
