The Ho Chi Minh City Expo 2013 with 125 booths organised by HCM City’s Investment and Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC) opened on June 6 in Yangon, Myanmar, according to the Saigon Giai phong daily.

The newspaper reported on June 7 that prominent guests at the opening included Vietnamese Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang, Vice Chairwoman of HCM City People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Hong, Yangon Region’s Chief Minister Myint Swe and Yangon city Mayor Ulamin.

Hundreds of Vietnamese products are on display, ranging from processed food, agricultural products, textile and garment, footwear, electric appliances, to various services in tourism, health and beauty care and advertisement.

The fair will run until June 10.

The same day, leaders of HCM City and Yangon city cut ribbon to open the representative office of the Saigon Trading Group (SATRA) at No. 70 Phone Gyi road, Landmadaw Township in Yangon, where more than 100 products of 30 leading Vietnamese businesses are on display.-VNA
