HCM City (VNA) –
The Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organisations (HUFO) on September 30 organised a gathering to celebrate the 71st anniversary of China’s National Day (October 1).

In his speech, Chairman of the Vietnam-China Friendship Association of Ho Chi Minh City Duong Quan Ha laid a stress on the traditional friendship between the two nations, which has been treasured by generations of Vietnamese and Chinese leaders.

He said the exchange of visits by high-ranking officials of both nations has made significant contributions to elevating the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership to a new high.

Ha went on by saying the HUFO, Vietnam-China Friendship Association, Chinese Consulate General, and Chinese business community have worked closely to promote mutual understanding between Ho Chi Minh City and Chinese localities, helping develop the friendship between the two nations.

Chinese Deputy Consul General Hao Zhigang highlighted the sound traditional friendship between the two countries, adding that thanks to the leadership of the two Parties, coupled with joint efforts of the two peoples, the cooperative relations have been developed in a more practical and deeper manner across the fields of politics, economy and people diplomacy.

He thanked the HUFO and the Vietnam-China Friendship Organisation of Ho Chi Minh City for supporting the Chinese Consulate General to promote the Vietnam - China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.

The Chinese office stands ready to join hands with the HUFO to unceasingly develop the Vietnam – China partnership, he added./.
