Ho Chi Minh City ’s Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association (VRFA) Vice President Tang Van Hong delivered this remark at a ceremony held in the city on Nov. 4 to celebrate the 93 rd anniversary of the October Revolution (Nov. 7).
The revolution and people of Vietnam are consistently following the path of socialism and the path of the October Revolution, considering Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought as guidelines towards the goal of a rich people, a strong country and a democratic, equitable and civilised society.
Russian Consul General in HCM City Anatoli Vasilievich Borovik stressed that Russia and Vietnam have always preserved and strengthened fraternal relations, mutual understanding and trust and cooperation, although both nations have experienced major political events and changes during the past two decades.
Both Borovik and Hong expressed delight at positive developments of the friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Russia and Vietnam , which have marked 60 years of diplomatic ties this year.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev’s official visit to Vietnam on Oct. 30-31 manifested the two nations’ shared aspiration to consolidate and expand the bilateral relations, they said./.
