Ho Chi Minh City has announced there are 810 administrative procedures in force now following a review of procedures under the “Master Plan for Simplifying Administrative Procedures,” or Project 30, for reforming governance.

These include 638 procedures covering 50 different areas at the district level. The property sector accounts for the largest number with 92.

Ward and village levels procedures number 172 and cover 23 sectors.

All of them would be posted on the websites of the city and district people’s committees for the public, Le Hoai Trung, deputy director of the city Department of International Affairs, said.

Nguyen Thanh Tai, deputy chairman of the city People’s Committee, ordered officials in the 24 districts and their wards and villages to appraise the public of the regulations, strictly comply with them, and organise periodical meetings to review and amend them.

The central Government’s Project 30 was inaugurated in January 2007 and is scheduled to be completed at the end of next year./.
