Year 2010 to be held at HCM City Youth Cultural House this week.
The annual festival will be organised from December 24 to January 1 at the cultural house with several activities, including music and fashion shows every night of the festive days.
Around 100 singers and fashion models will be invited to perform during the eight-day event.
The latest designs of popular fashion designers Van Thanh Cong, Ngo Nhat Huy, Dexoul and Nguyen Ha Nhat Huy and clothes of popular brand names will be showcased with a performed by young fashion models.
The fashion designers will talk to audiences about fashion trends in the new year and offer advice on style to young people.
Popular hair designers will also be available to offer free services and advice to visitors.
Alternating with the fashion programmes will be music shows with performances by Chi Thien, Phuong Thanh, Nguyen Phi Hung and others. The gala, with popular singers and fashion designers, will open on Christmas Eve and end on New Year’s Day.
The festival, which will be organised for the third time in the city, is expected to attract more visitors this year.
Pham Dang Khuong, deputy director of HCM City Youth Cultural House, said the event received 15,000 people when it was held for the first time two years ago.
More than 30,000 people attended the festival last year./.
