Ho Chi Minh City has hastened the implementation of a project to develop a sustainable urban traffic system, according to the municipal People’s Committee.

The project aims to facilitate passengers’ access to the Metro Line No. 2 (MRT2), thus reducing traffic jam and improving the efficiency of the MRT2 project.

The project is funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) with 10 million USD and the Clean Technology Fund (CTF) with 48.95 million USD, which will be disbursed between 2017 and 2019.

The project will cost at total investment of 65 million USD and is expected to be completed by 2020.-VNA
