Except Singapore, the top 10 most expensive cities in the world are located in Europe and the US. According to the website, the cost of living in Ho Chi Minh City is 71 percent cheaper than in London, the United Kingdom, the city ranked No 1 in the list.
Compared to other cities in the ASEAN region, the cost of living in Ho Chi Minh City is 66 percent cheaper than in Singapore, which is ranked seventh; 28 percent cheaper than in Bangkok, Thailand, ranked 132nd; and 20 percent cheaper than in Jakarta, ranked 149th.-VNA
