HCM City (VNA)
– The Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVN HCMC) on April 28 said it has resumed a number of electricity projects after the southern city ceased social distancing measures.

Many projects have been completed ahead of schedule to welcome the 45th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975).

Deputy director of the company Banh Duc Hoai said EVN HCMC has been working to enhance the power supply to meet the city’s development requirements. However, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, it had to delay some projects.

However, some key projects have still been carried out during social distancing, such as the 220kV Cat Lai-Tan Cang and 110kV Binh Tan-Cau Bong power lines, and the 110kV Phuoc Long station.

The company is also upgrading the 110kV Hoc Mon-Tan Quy, Phu Lam-Phu Dinh and Hoc Mon-Ba Queo transmission lines./.
