Noting with pleasure thefruitful relationship in various fields between Vietnam and the US, hesaid HCM City, with its available conditions, hopes to promote itslinkage with the US.
Over the past years, US investment inthe city has grown significantly, focusing on such areas as services,finance, banking and insurance, the official said.
Hai alsoused the occasion to introduce his guest to HCM City’s socio-economicsituation, saying over the past three years, the city has made all-outefforts to maintain its growth rate despite the global economicdownturn.
In reply, Caroline Atkinson said her visit toVietnam is of significance, particularly in the context that the twocountries have elevated their relationship to a comprehensivepartnership.
The US wants to develop the comprehensivepartnership more strongly with the early completion of the Trans-PacificPartnership (TPP) agreement, she said.
