The international badminton tournament Yonex Sunrise Vietnam Open 2012 will take place from August 20-26 in Ho Chi Minh City.
The event is expected to see the participation of 322 athletes from 28 countries and territories from across the world, including the world’s top players such as Nur Mohd Axriyn Ayub (Malaysia), P. Buranaprasersuk (Thailand), Liao Chun Chieh (Taiwan), Kim Ki Jung (the Republic of Korea), and Akbar Panji (Indonesia).
The athletes will complete in five events, including men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles.
Top Vietnamese badminton star Nguyen Tien Minh, ranked 12th among the world’s players, is seeded No.1 at the event.
