Ho Chi Minh City expects to welcome 3.5 million foreign visitors in 2011( up 11 percent over this year), and earn a revenue of 49,000 trillion VND from tourism (an estimated increase of 20 percent ).

In order to realise these targets, the city has focused on the key solutions by improving products and tourist services quality as well as developing new tourism products and tours.

The city will also invest in human resources training with the aim of standardising the tourism sector’s staff.
In 2010, the number of foreign visitors arriving in Ho Chi Minh City is estimated at 3.1 million, up 20 percent over the same period last year and surpassing the yearly plan by 11 percent. Total turnover of the tourism sector estimates to reach 41 trillion VND, a year-on-year increase of 17 percent./.
