Main streets in the city centre such as Pham Ngoc Thach, Le Duan, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Ham Nghi and Nguyen Van Troi are being decorated with colourful lights, attracting thousands of visitors each night.
Besides, special art and music programmes are scheduled to take place on the nights of December 31 and January 1 in many places, including Labour Culture Palace, 23/9 Park and cultural centres in suburban districts.
The programmes will be performed by amateur and professional artists, featuring various traditional and modern art forms.
Entertainment facilities in the city also offer many special events, particularly cuisine festivals featuring the traditional dishes of Vietnam and other countries.-VNA
