At the reception (Source: VNA) HCMCity (VNA) – Friendship parliamentarians’ groups of Vietnam andUkraine should promote their role in connecting Ukrainian enterprises withVietnamese counterparts, including those in Ho Chi Minh City, a municipalofficial has said.
ViceChairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Council Truong Thi Anh made thesuggestion at a reception for visiting Chairwoman of theUkraine-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians Group Yurynets Oksana Vasylivna in thecity on April 26.
During the meeting, Anh briefed the gueston the southern hub’s socio-economic development and activities of the People’sCouncils at all levels in the city.
She expressedthe hope that HCM City and Ukraine will bolster information sharing and supporteach other for mutual development.
Yurynets OksanaVasylivna, who is also Chairperson of the Subcommittee onRegional and Cross-Border Cooperation between Ukraine and the EU Countries ofCommittee on European Integration, showed herimpression of the strong and dynamic development of Vietnam and HCM City inparticular.
She stressed that the similarities between Vietnam and Ukraine in their historyof fighting foreign invaders for national independence are a favourablefoundation for enhancing their friendship and cooperation in many fields suchas education, science and technology.
She hoped Vietnam and Ukraine would carry out more activities to promoteall-level cooperation in the fields of their common concern and in potentialdomains.-VNA
